About FEMBI

Empowering farmers to lead their own change.

A smallholder-farmer-centered organization working across Sironko, Mbale and Bulambuli in eastern Uganda.

Our story

Rooted in the need for rural resilience.

FEMBI Agri Support (FAS) is a smallholder-farmer-centered idea, born out of the need to support local innovation, resilience, lucrative agribusiness and environmental protection in rural Sironko district.

Founded in 2023, the organization acquired community-based organization (CBO) status in 2025 after registering with Sironko district. It was established to support smallholder farmers through inclusive projects focused on productivity, climate adaptation, environmental protection and agribusiness development — helping farmers start, operate and sustain profitable enterprises amidst a changing climate.
